COVID cancelled the convention

The big annual Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device convention is not happening this year, and I for one am pretty disappointed about it.

This is a nice job, with nice pay, but it’s not exactly exciting.

The convention was the one time a year we could really cut worse on the dealer’s dime. Thanks for nothing, COVID, I was looking forward to going back to the City That Never Sleeps. Maybe next year will be better, but last year was entirely the most fun I have ever had in a single weekend. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device convention was the reason for it. During the afternoons there were conferences and talks and product reveals for all manner of different Heating, Ventilation, and A/C devices and products. After the clock struck 4 it was celebration time. The only concern I had the whole time there was getting straight and sober in time for the first Heating, Ventilation, and A/C meeting the next day. When I came back to work I had the entire flight to read over all of the printed materials and specs for Heating, Ventilation, and A/C product lines. I could pretend I had been paying attention. In fact, I went to the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C meetings with a hangover all I could do was close our eyes and try to keep the room from spinning. The materials they handed out were so comprehensive that I was able to fake it pretty well. Like I said, I’ve been thinking about past Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device conventions a lot this year. I believe that is just wishful thinking. There is a virtual Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device conference, but who really cares?
