Last year, my wife and I had to have a new furnace and air conditioner installed into our home.
We started thinking about all the add-ons we could also have installed.
We talked about the Smart Thermostat, and we made the decision that we should purchase one. The Smart Thermostat would give us the ability to still be independent and travel whenever we liked. Being retired gave us plenty of time to travel wherever and whenever we wanted. It was absolute freedom. The Smart Thermostat gave us the ability to check on our HVAC and make sure our house was safe while we were gone.. We also discussed having a whole house air purification system installed. My wife was insistent on an air purifier, but her only reason was that it would cut down on the dust. Neither of us had problems with allergies, and I wasn’t keen on putting the money out if it wasn’t necessary. We are now in the heart of a major pandemic. The air purifier may not have been a necessity a year ago, but it now feels like it is. My wife keeps giving me these eye rolls that tell me she is not happy that we didn’t purchase the whole home air purifier. I’m waiting for the outright ‘I told you so’s’ to start. I know the air purifier could keep some germs out of our house, but I still don’t think it would take over for washing your hands and wearing a mask. She’ll just need to continue sulking since we don’t have the money to have the air purifier installed at this time..
