My entire summer time flew by without even being noticed.
The pandemic took front and center over the beauty of the season.
The pandemic had all the beaches closed in our area. The pools weren’t open and most of the public areas where I would have taken our children were also closed, but i watched the boredom on their faces as the summer time simply flew by. The schools were open, thanks to air cleaners being installed into the Heating and A/C system. I was still wondering where summer time had gone, and how fall had slipped by so abruptly. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen when Winter arrived. I looked at the calendar, knowing I should have had the oil furnace ran tests on more than a month ago. The oil furnace had been running for over a month now. The people I was with and I had some afternoons when the temps headed up to sixty, but most of our afternoons had been in the forties. The kids were outside, playing in the leaves and enjoying themselves. I picked up the cellphone and called the Heating and A/C supplier. Although the oil furnace was running well now, I didn’t want any surprises when the chilly weather hit. I wanted to make sure our kids would have plenty of warmth to keep them safe. I was going to need to wait a couple weeks before the Heating and A/C tech would be able to get to the house, despite the fact that I was okay with that. As abruptly as the time was flying by, it would suppose care about it had only been a couple hours since I made the cellphone call.
