Had trouble tracking my order

Every Friday, I get a shipment from the warehouse on the east coast.

The shipment contains numerous shop supplies and all of the HVAC units or machines that we ordered the previous week, then I constantly keep a couple of unusual makes and models in the showroom, however most specialty items are custom ordered.

One of our best customers has an indoor greenhouse. We order special sized air filters for the greenhouse. We gain a shipment of the air filters weekly for that customer. This week the order from the company was all wrong! I didn’t gain any of the items that I usually order and that includes those air filters. When I called the company, they couldn’t find our invoice number. Even when I slowly repeated the invoice number, they still couldn’t find it somewhere in the system. I had to sit on the PC with the company for 1 hour before they figured out the problem. When they tracked down our order, the items had to be shipped back to the supply house and then over to me! By the time our client got the air filters that he ordered, he was ready to look for another HVAC unit business. I tried to tell the guy that it was a mixup at the factory, however he was aggravated after waiting 3 extra weeks. I understand the guy’s frustration. I absolutely wasn’t ecstatic that the rest of our order was late either, unfortunately, these complications can occur from time to time plus there isn’t any way to avoid them.
