Waking up sweating

I went to work knowing that I would need to leave early in order to meet with the HVAC technician

Three nights in a row, I woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat. One night, I got out of bed and took a shower because I was feeling so terrible about being so hot. I thought for sure I had to be coming down with a cold or the flu. This was not the time for that. It was the middle of the summer and work had been busier than ever. Would I be able to take off a day or two, but no longer than that. I got back into bed and worries flooded my brain. I was not sure if I was actullying getting sick, or if my AC was just not working properly. I decided to check the thermostat downstairs, although I was sure I set it at 72 before heading the bed. To my suprise, the thermostat read 82 degrees. I don’t know how this was possible, but at least I wasn’t coming down with the flu! The next day on my way to work, I called the local HVAC company about the problem. They told me that I wasn’t wrong about the issues with the AC, and that I was probably looking at a small repair or cleaning fee. I was relieved. I went to work knowing that I would need to leave early in order to meet with the HVAC technician. It was a great feeling knowing that I wouldn’t wake up hot anymore and have to worry about if I was getting sick or not.
