They told me they could give me a different room but that didn’t mean the HVAC system in that room would work properly
My business involves my needing to do a lot of travelling. I have a hotel chain that I normally use when making these trips. They are reliable and they are always clean. I thought everything was going to be fine with the room when I first checked in. I turned up the thermostat and I headed out for dinner. My experience with hotel HVAC is that if there is a problem, it doesn’t blow any air. When I got back to my room, it was just the opposite. The HVAC system never shut off. It was so warm in the hotel room that I felt like I had stepped into a sauna. I called the front desk who came up and unplugged the HVAC in hopes that it would reset. The HVAC turned back on and it was still blowing hot air. I wanted to have a new room assigned to me. The manager apologized and told me that they were having problems with the HVAC system and they were to have a new one installed, but it hadn’t happened yet. I moved to the next room, and turned on the HVAC system. Within an hour, the HVAC system in this room quit working. I called the front desk again. They told me they could give me a different room but that didn’t mean the HVAC system in that room would work properly. He gave me all of my money back and offered to make me a reservation at another hotel. I accepted their offer; hoping that the next time I travelled, this hotel would have their HVAC system replaced and working.
