When I decided to open a bakery I thought I had all my expenses figured out… I had a budget set in location & I knew right away I couldn’t buy the extravagant oven I wanted or the great tables & chairs that had caught my eye! After buying my building, renovating it & starting to set it up, hastily I had more money than I thought.
I crunched the numbers again & again, although I constantly had extra leftover.
I took it as a gift & bought all my extravagant baking equipment that I wanted. I bought the hardwood tables & plush chairs that were gorgeous but a bit fancy. Once everything was set up & I was a month away from opening my doors I realized what I had forgotten. I forgot that I needed to buy a gas furnace! Since it is the middle of summer, I have not thought about heating at all. I have a working a/c, there, done, then well I should have saved the money for a current boiler because fall is right around the corner. How am I going to have a bakery without any heating? I am sort of scrambling. I either need to make way more money right out the gate than I planned on in order to buy the boiler. Another opportunity would be using small space oil heating systems for most of the season. That would look just awful though. I can’t sell my ovens or furniture though. It is already set up & used! I am truly screwed here.
