Installing central air conditioning

Not only has this upgrade made a significant improvement in the health and cleanliness of the home, but comfort as well

I never planned on investing in central air conditioning. I live in the northeastern part of the country, where the winter weather is the main concern. For more than half the year, I need to run the furnace. The temperature is frequently below freezing and sometimes well below zero. After dealing with the cold and snow for approximately eight straight months, I’m extremely anxious for milder conditions. I watch for the first signs of the daffodils coming up, leaves on the trees and the arrival of the robins. I look forward to opening the windows and airing out the house. I saw no reason to close the windows back up, lower the thermostat and pay high electric bills for the sake of air conditioning. For the few months of summer heat and humidity, I was fine getting by with box fans and window air conditioners. Once my daughter was born and was diagnosed with severe allergies and asthma, all of that changed. Suddenly, air quality was a priority. Having the windows open was allowing contaminants such as dust, pollen, fumes and bugs inside. The best way to provide a safe, clean living environment for my daughter was to circulate and filter the air. I had a central cooling system and air purification system installed. Not only has this upgrade made a significant improvement in the health and cleanliness of the home, but comfort as well. The rooms no longer feel overheated and sticky. My whole family sleeps a lot better at night, and there’s less complaints about headaches, sore throats, congestion and itchy eyes.
