I forgot to change my settings back

Sometimes I think that I am too focused on the future to live successfully in the present. I am the type of person who can get very uneasy and absolutely worried if anybody gives me a reason to consider what might happen tomorrow. I constantly start to catastrophize the worst possibilities you could possibly imagine and the next thing you know I have driven myself into a tizzy. This is one of the reasons that I have easily been trying to learn how to procrastinate and slow down in my life, unfortunately, there are still times when I do not manage to achieve this goal, but last year was a one of those times, as I was preparing to go out of town for the next week. I wanted to make sure that my house was going to be safe and clean while I was gone, so I made sure to adjust my central heating, cooling, and air quality control programming on the thermostat ahead of time. The last thing I wanted was to reach my destination and realize that I never turned down the thermostat programming so my energy bill was going to climb through the roof for no reason in my absence. Instead, I decided to change my thermostat program ahead of time so that I could simply walk out the door without problems with my indoor air temperature. Unfortunately, after I changed my thermostat settings I completely forgot. I returned home from my trip and never considered my central heating, cooling, and air quality control program again! Several weeks later after I had called the local indoor air temperature control service shop numerous times for my inexplicable air quality, I finally realized the problem, my old thermostat settings had never been reinstated.
