I make sure to schedule professional repair every year to keep the proposal running at peak efficiency & reliability
When my husband & I had enough of the long winters in the north, we packed up & moved south. The two of us obtained a house that is much weird than we were accustomed to. The new house is a stone block construction, has no basement & is outfitted with an electric heat pump. Our former house was equipped with a natural gas gas furnace & ductwork, & we never bothered with a central cooling system. Our Summer seasons rarely provided multiple months of overheated weather. The two of us managed with box fans & window cooling systems in the home offices. In our new location, we need air conditioning for more than half the year. The temperature often rises into the triple digits, & the humidity is brutal. Although we never get temperatures below chilly, we do need to run a gas furnace for a month or 2. The heat pump is the ideal solution. The single unit provides both heating & cooling capacity. It works by moving heat from 1 site to another rather than burning fossil fuels to generate heat. Because of this, the heat pump is attractively safe, disinfect & environmentally responsible. It’s also incredibly energy efficient. It maintains ideal comfort at all times of year but keeps our biweekly utility bills adequate. The heat pump is also excellent at maintaining ideal humidity levels & filtering contaminants out of the air. I make sure to schedule professional repair every year to keep the proposal running at peak efficiency & reliability. I’ve looked into new heat pumps, & they are super costly. I hope to keep ours operational for as long as possible.
