Into the work world

I just graduated from college.

But it wasn’t your average college.

I took courses at a school to become a certified heating and air conditioning specialist. So now that I have graduated from that and got my HVAC certification, it is time to go out into the real world and find real work. I have applied to several local heating and air conditioning companies here in town, and so far I have got nothing back. No reply or anything. It is starting to both annoy and worry me. Are they no longer in need of certified heating and air conditioning specialists at all my local heat and a/c companies? Or is this just a bad time of year trying to get work going? Whatever the answer I don’t know. But all I do know is the real word out there is rough! Can’t they give a new heating and air conditioning specialist such as myself a break and give us some work? I am almost thinking maybe I wasted my money and time going to HVAC school to get my heating and air conditioning certification all together. The only other option would be to get a business licence and start my own heat and a/c company by becoming an independent heating and air conditioning specialist. That is very risky though. Because I would never be guaranteed a paycheck and the whole thing could fail. And if it did, I could be starving, homeless or even worse! So if need be, I am thinking I may need to think outside the box and start searching other cities and relocate if I find something.
