I just wanted the heating and cooling ads to disappear

I certainly have to admit that when it comes to searching for things online I am not only not tech savvy, but I am fairly reckless… This is how I ended up getting a virus! I have an antivirus but the subscription expired and I made the choice to wait to renew it which means I was not protected in the slightest.

  • I honestly did not suppose it was a sizable deal, I mean what were the chances of me getting a virus? It honestly did not help that I made the decision to visit a bunch of crazy websites! All I knew was that after I had visited some of these websites my laptop started to slow down significantly.

That wasn’t even the worst part. The worst section was I started having random pop ups on my desktop! Now I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I never downloaded anything intentionally that would put ads on my laptop and so I came to understand I must have a virus. I decided to call my brother who happens to be a laptop guy and works as a laptop maintenance guy in a tech store. He told me that what I had was a particular type of adware. He further asked me to describe and I told him I kept on getting all these advertisements for heating and a/c equipment on my laptop. He asked me if I had browsed any websites of any heating A/C equipment companies and I told him no. I further explained that I was more than pleased with my heating and cooling appliance, and I even described my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C appliance products! Everything from the type of a/c I have, to the section heater, and I even mentioned the HEPA filter in the air cleaner. I’m glad I was able to get my brother to come over and remove the virus from my laptop. He also helped me update my antivirus software and get my subscription renewed. Now my laptop is back to great working shape.
