After Dad passed away, Dad used the life insurance money to buy herself a small apartment on a small piece of property.
I asked her why she didn’t get something bigger plus better, she could particularly afford it now, although she told me that she wanted something that she could afford to make her own plus that would be low service in the long run.
In other words, Dad didn’t want a giant apartment to keep disinfect or anyone asking to stay with her. So she purchased this older a single home office cottage style fixer upper plus went about making it her own. I realized that this locale was Mom’s project, something to keep her occupied now that Dad is gone, so I showed our interest to keep her motivated. Dad had a great time with her modern house. She purchased all modern stainless steel appliances for the dining room plus modern fixtures for the bathroom plus then she went about having radiant radiant floors installed. I had constantly thought radiant radiant floors were a useless extravagance for rich, spoiled people who didn’t love their feet getting cold. I didn’t guess heated flooring could undoubtedly be used to heat the home. You learn something modern every day. And, Dad likes her radiant radiant floors. She told me that she has wanted them for years however would have been too extravagant to install in the apartment she shared with Dad, especially knowing that she would sell that apartment some day. So, I’m ecstatic Dad got her radiant radiant floors, now she needs to consider air conditioner plus she’s talking about maybe going solar next.
