When my family and I moved down south to get going with our retirement chapter of life, it was with the thought that the more sun the better.
This perspective was forged from enduring 60 plus cold seasons.
And these were the style of winters that lasted at least 5 months as well as many longer than that. Most of that time the people I was with and I were inside the Heating & A/C comfort of our dwelling or work. Neither of us were especially big into the cold season outdoor activities. In fact, just dealing with a huge amount of snow as well as ice removal was a pretty serious pain. And it didn’t get any better the more the people I was with and I aged. So the people I was with and I had our sights set on living in the sun for the remainder of our lives. Once the people I was with and I made the move, the frosty season was everything we had hoped it would be. And the people I was with and I just loved spending time in the sunroom on a regular basis during that first mild cold season. In all honesty, it took a bit of getting accustomed to the heat as well as humidity of the warm season. That is a fact. But it was a much better trade off to be entirely honest. Plus, the Heating & A/C heat pump did such a wonderful job at making our dwelling cooler in order to manage the peak heating hours during the length of the day. Yet, the people I was with and I were kind of sad that the people I was with and I couldn’t prefer the sunroom nearly as much. It was just too toasty in there. However, after a bit of research, I managed to figure out a solution. All of us had ductless Heating & A/C put in the sunroom. So now the people I was with and I had a completely independent Heating & A/C cooling source for the sunroom. This made it possible to once again prefer the sunroom even with all the heat.
