Finding cooling comfort outside the house during peak heating hours

It’s easy now this working from home.

When I first had to work from the air conditioning at home, it really wasn’t at all easy.

I just had a really hard time with it at first. The routine and structure I had become accustomed to for 15 years was suddenly shattered. Plus, I really loved the zone controlled HVAC in our offices. The air conditioning at home just wasn’t as great. That also has to do with the fact that we live in a region where you really have to pay attention to the HVAC cooling output. If you don’t, all that air conditioning will totally drain you checking account. So working from home was tough that first summer of 2020. Several years ago, I finally figured out how to program the digital thermostat in our home. This allowed me to be sure that the thermostat was always in the low to mid 80’s during the peak heating hours of the summer days. So when I started working from home, I decided to do all of my errands and chores outside the home between 1 pm and 4 pm. While it was warmer in my home, I could be shopping somewhere that had the HVAC cooling just cranking. This turned out to be a really great way of going about the summer. And I employed the same method this past summer to get my HVAC cooling comfort outside the home during the hottest part of the day. And working from home has gotten to be just the best way for me to work.
