We are having a terrible time finding the right HVAC contractor to do the job for us.
We really want to be sure that we end up with the right HVAC contractor for the job that we are doing. We are trying to flip a house and it’s a bigger project than we originally thought that it was going to be. The house basically has no heating and cooling system in it at all, and it doesn’t even have any ductwork run in it for a heating and cooling system. The place was built long before central air conditioning was even a thing, and so the builders definitely were not thinking about airflow and getting maximum indoor air quality whenever they built the house all those years ago! Now, of course, people are much more interested in what type of heating and cooling system they are going to have in their home. Most people want to have something like a high efficiency central heating and cooling system for their house, and that’s what we really want to put into this flip. However, it’s turned into something but it’s more of a problem than we originally thought it was going to be. We are having a terrible time finding the right HVAC contractor to do the job for us. See, we would like to keep most of the original look of the home because it is historical. However, most of the HVAC contractors that we have talked to said that we would have to tear out the ceilings in order to put ductwork into the house! Tearing out the beautiful ceilings and the moldings is definitely not something that we are interested in doing. That’s why we are looking for a new HVAC contractor who can give us some different options.
